Walking uphill, both ways, knee deep in snow…
I grew up on a farm in South Central Kansas. As a farm kid near a very small town, I was doing chores while it was still dark and rode the bus an hour to school each day. Farm life taught me that a strong work ethic goes a long way, there is always a need for working smarter and not harder, and to appreciate the little things.
I put myself through school working in libraries and graduated with a Business Communications degree. My first job after college was at the first digital marketing agency in Kansas City. The merging of design, marketing, technology, strategy, and client relationships was a great fit. Since then, I've done my time at several start-ups — some successful, some not — worked in public and private companies of varying sizes across several industries, consulted with companies to help them grow, and started a small consulting business.
